A bunch of our lovely "banana" shallots from the market garden. These are slightly milder and definitely sweeter than onions. We use them just like onions, but also love to roast them whole too. They also make a great shallot tarte tatin.
Best stored in a dry, airy place and these will keep for months, until they start sprouting in the spring.
